avkBTC is Avant's BTC-backed base token, minted against kBTC. It is the starting point for this product: you can mint or swap into it, redeem it, or use it to earn through the Senior or Junior option. Learn more in the Core Tokens guide.

kBTC is Kraken's Bitcoin token on Ink. You deposit kBTC to mint avkBTC. Your underlying Bitcoin remains in Kraken custody.

Both give you Bitcoin exposure plus Avant's Senior / Junior yield structure. avkBTC is minted with kBTC on Ink. avBTC is minted with BTC.b on Avalanche. The avkBTC strategy is more conservative and more liquid than the avBTC book, and it is built to scale at size.

avkBTC is the base token and does not earn yield. savkBTC is the Senior option, designed for users who want to earn yield with the lower-risk position. avkBTCx is the Junior option, which takes more risk in exchange for a potentially higher share of yield. There is nothing to claim. The value of your savkBTC or avkBTCx grows as yield is distributed, so each token can be redeemed for more of the base token over time. savkBTC accrues value daily; avkBTCx updates weekly. Yield is paid in kind, as more BTC exposure. See Yield Distribution for more detail.

Deposited kBTC is used as collateral. Avant borrows dollars against it, runs a conservative, liquid dollar strategy, and uses the net yield to buy back kBTC for holders.

Use Mint or Redeem for the direct protocol route with the product's backing asset. Use Swap to buy or sell through available in-app liquidity. Swap may be available on any supported chain, including the native chain; the app shows the available route and quote before you confirm. See Minting avAssets and Redeeming avAssets.
